Thank you for entering this year’s edition of the Plum Bikeaway. The weather forecast is looking good so it sure to be a great day!

Start/ Finish Location

The start and finish are at:

Inkberrow Village Hall, Sands Rd, Inkberrow, Worcester WR7 4HJ

What3words ///earpiece.float.vines

If you are driving then please follow the signs to the car parking area and follow the marshals’ instructions. Car parking is limited because of other events happening at the hall so we’ve made a small charge for parking just so we can control numbers. Please consider riding to the start, or sharing lifts if possible. If you are bringing a car, please make sure you’ve booked a parking space – they are still available to book on the website.

Schedule

08:00 Registration opens & drinks will be available in the hall

09:00 First riders set off

10:30 Registration closes and last riders depart

16:00 HQ closes

Registration

Please come and sign in at the registration desk from 8am where you will receive your number to be attached to the front of your bike. We will also be taking entries on the day with cash or card payments.

Let us know which distance you have chosen to ride. There are routes for 50 miles, 32 miles and 16 miles.

Under 18s

We need a signed parental consent form from the parents/guardians of all riders under 18. There will be copies of these available at registration, but any under 18s riding without a parent can print the attached form and bring it with them on the day. Anyone under 16 must ride with a responsible adult.

Facilities

Food and drink will be available in the hall. Drinks are included in your entry and food (cakes and sandwiches) can be purchased for a small donation to our chosen charities.

Toilets are available in the hall.

Evesham Adventure Playground will be on hand with their Dr Bike service to make any last minute adjustments to your bikes.

Out on the Ride

The routes are all signed with pink arrows until you reach a split point where the different routes head in different directions. Follow the coloured arrow for the distance you have chosen as follows:

Purple – 50 miles

Green – 32 miles

Yellow – 16 miles

Once you have passed the split point you will continue to follow the pink arrows.

There are also GPX files available if you are using a GPS device for navigating. These can be downloaded here:

50 miles https://ridewithgps.com/routes/54083563

32 miles https://ridewithgps.com/routes/54083572

16 miles https://ridewithgps.com/routes/54083623

Or click here for a zip file of the three gpx files.

Please bring a water bottle with you. There will be a chance to fill up bottles and grab a snack just after Bishampton which riders pass through at 20 miles for the 32 mile route and at 26 miles for the 50 mile route.

If you have an incident during the ride then please call us and qualified first aiders will be on hand if needed. Contact phone numbers will be on the back of your rider number.

Please also let us know if you choose to abandon the ride and not return to the finish so that we don’t send the search parties out looking for you.

Finish

When you get back to the finish you’ll be rewarded with a bespoke medal. There will also be food and drink available in the hall to replenish your energy levels.

If you have a craving for plums then we’ll be selling punnets of genuine Vale of Evesham plums and you’ll be able to pay with cash or card.

Charity Contributions

Proceeds from the event will support Vale of Evesham Community First Responders and Evesham Adventure Playground.

We look forward to seeing you on Sunday morning.

Regards
