Cyclefest 2020 Cancelled
We have taken the decision to cancel the planned Evesham Cyclefest that was due to take place on 19th July 2020.
For more information, please see the Cyclefest page.
Easy Riders – Sun 6th Oct @ 11am
Hoping for good weather, we will start from the main car park of Evesham College, off Davies Road, and head out towards Elmley Castle.
We will stop for refreshments at the Queen Elizabeth before heading back. The return route may change depending upon the weather but we will hopefully take the Saltway. Depending on the return route, this ride will be approx 13 miles.
Please dress appropriately for the weather (don’t forget your waterproofs), layer up in case its cold but remember you will still need a drink for on the bike.
You can sign up via Let’s Ride or Facebook.
Easy Riders out to Charlton – Sun 1st Sept @ 10am
After the wind a couple of weeks ago forced a route change, we’ll have another attempt – fingers crossed for better weather than last time! Starting from the Crown Meadow car park, we will head out past the football club and take the cycle path adjacent to the A46 before turning off towards Hinton. We’ll head down Haeslor Lane before heading into Charlton, we’ll head back via a different route using the bridleway that joins onto Red Lane and returning to Evesham via Hampton.
Mainly quiet local roads, cycle path adjacent to the A46 and some bridleways.
We will stop at Hampton Farm shop for coffee (and cake!) – please note this is quite late in the ride.
It is advisable to wear a helmet at all times when riding a bike. Please dress appropriately for the weather, wear sunscreen and bring a drink/snacks.
You can sign up via Let’s Ride or Facebook
August Social Ride – 18th @ 2pm
Starting from the Market Square, this 23 mile ride takes us out of Evesham and over to the Lenches – so its a little ‘lumpy’.
Whilst the majority of the ride uses quiet local roads, there is a very small stretch on the A44 therefore this ride is not suitable for children or first timers.
There will be a coffee stop at Ellenden Farm shop so don’t forget money for a drink/snack.
You can check out the route and also book on to the ride via Let’s Ride or sign up via Facebook.
Here come the boys!
Keep your diary clear for Thursday 12th September – the OVO Energy Tour of Britain is coming to Pershore!
In what is being billed as “a potentially race-deciding stage” the individual time trial stage will take in a 14.km (9 mile) loop starting and finishing in the centre of Pershore.
Its not the first time that the Tour has visited the area with the last year’s women’s Tour starting stage four from Evesham. Whilst the men’s tour featured Ilmington hill on stage four.
There’s no doubt that this will be a great day out and an opportunity to see some of the worlds top cyclists up close.
July Social Ride – 21st July 2019
Join us on the July Social Ride, leaving the Market Square, Evesham at 2pm we will head out to Pershore for our coffee stop.
Please be aware that whilst the majority of the ride will use quiet local roads, we will also be using some bridleways and the Salt Road therefore the ride may not be suitable for skinny tyred road bikes.
