Breeze is all about fun, friendly, and flexible bike rides for women, led by women.
We know that lots of women would like to ride a bike more often, but may need a bit of support and
some easy ways to get going. We also know that many women would prefer, sometimes at least, to
ride just with other women. British Cycling has set a target of getting 1 million more women cycling by
2020 – and Breeze is a key part of making that happen.
Breeze Champions are women who want to share their love of cycling and inspire other women in
their local area to take part in bike rides for fun and fitness. Champions choose the route, let everyone
know about the start time and place, and lead a group of up to eight women on the ride.
We are delighted to have a trained Breeze Champion available to lead rides on behalf of Cycle Evesham Vale.
Currently we are aiming our Breeze rides at the beginner/easy level but will assess the need for longer more challenging rides as the need arises.
For those ladies looking for more of a challenge, there are a number of Breeze Champions around the Evesham area who offer a wide variety of rides for example Broadway, Bidford on Avon, Honeybourne and Moreton in Marsh.
Sunday 11th August @ 10.00
Starting from the Crown Meadow car park, we will head out past the football club and take the cycle path adjacent to the A46 before turning off towards Hinton. We’ll head down Haeslor Lane before heading into Charlton with a stop for refreshments at The Gardeners Arms. We’ll head back via a different route using the bridleway that joins onto Red Lane and returning to Evesham via Hampton.
